I hold a bachelor's degree in sport management (honours) from Brock University and I am also a Master of Arts candidate in the department of Applied Health Sciences (Sport Management) at Brock University. My research is focused on sport law and governance, specifically not-for-profit legislation and its impact on the Canadian sport landscape. My Master's supervisor is Dr. Hilary Findlay, co-founder of the Sport Law and Strategy Group and Associate Professor in the department of Sport Management.

My personal involvement in sport is primarily with soccer in which I was a player, coach, and official. I am currently a provincial-level referee with the Ontario Soccer Association and on the list of officials for the Canadian Soccer League. Additionally, I am a current member of the Advanced Referee Training Program which selects the top 16 ranked provincial referee's in Ontario to be considered for the national program.
