Jason has recently become a published author with the book titled Aboriginal Sport Heroes: Atlantic Canada. Aboriginal Sport Heroes: Atlantic Canada is a biography of Atlantic Canada sport personalities Josh Sacobie, Sara-Lynne Knockwood, Josh Hepditch, Allison Brooks, and Tex Marshall. This inspirational book is written for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people interested in the continued rich history of the Mi'kmaq and Maliseet told from a different viewpoint...sport! Many First Nation sport heroes may be not be as well known to the greater Canadian sport community, but none-the-less their stories must be told. You will be introduced to the stories and sporting careers of five champions from Atlantic Canada. These accounts speak of greatness, hard work, heartbreak, their struggles and triumphs and of course, First Nation pride. They are our athletes, coaches and sport administrators who continue to make the difference of positive change.
