The Fredericton Rowing Club is hosting a High Performance clinic for junior and senior athletes plus their coaches. The clinic is free for those eligible athletes that participated in the Head of the 4 Bridges regatta the previous day and an excellent opportunity to be coached by some of the best coaches in the Maritimes and Canada.
Leading the clinic is Rowing Canada Aviron Coach, Al Morrow, who represented Canada as a rower at several World Championships and the 1976 Olympics. Al started his coaching career in 1978, and since joining Rowing Canada Aviron in 1986, he has won numerous World Championship and Olympic medals. In 1991, the World Rowing Federation recognized him as its “Coach of the Year”. Also joining the clinic is New Brunswick’s High-Performance coach, Chantelle Hanley. Chantelle’s experience stretches over 20 years, including a five-year coaching stint at the University of the West of the England where she was Head of Women’s Rowing. The clinic will also be attended by senior National Team Training Centre athlete, Frederictonian and 2013 Rowing Canada Aviron “Male Sculler of the Year,” Adam Bliss.
