Team Canada Women’s Roller Derby is pleased to announce dates and locations for open tryouts for its 2017 World Cup team. Over two weekends in October 2016, Head Coach Jessica Paternostro and Assistant Coach Bryan Mcwilliam will select the athletes they will work with over the subsequent year leading up to the 2017 Roller Derby World Cup. In addition, the day before each tryout, Team Canada coaches will deliver half-day bootcamps for intermediate and advanced players to develop their skills.

TRYOUT REGISTRATION AND DETAILS

• Tryouts are open to adults who play women’s flat-track roller derby, who are Canadian Citizens or their children/grandchildren, Permanent Residents, or residents of Canada for at least five years. 
• The four-hour on-skate tryout will include skill-based drills and scrimmaging. Skaters should bring black and white scrimmage tops, running shoes, water and a snack/lunch, as well as proof of insurance.
•  Athletes must pre-register at the links above. Spectator tickets are available for $10 online or at the door.
