Sport Aurora would like to announce that we are hosting two Women and Leadership Workshops, delivered through a partnership with CAAWS. Please join us on April 18th 9am-5pm for the Influencing Change and Conflict Management Workshops, as well as a networking lunch, to be held at St. Andrew's College (room number and map will be provided when registered). The workshops will run from 9am to 5pm.
Facilitator: Wendy Dobbin
Influencing Change Workshop:
- Identify elements of effective change movements
- Discuss the (under) representation of women in society
- Review the tips for being heard and improving your listening skills
- Discuss approaches on how to influence others
- Obtain 1 NCCP Professional Development Credit for the event
Conflict Management Workshop:
- Consider sources of conflict and the cost of leaving conflict unresolved
- Consider five styles for dealing with conflict, identifying your preferred style and discuss situations when each style should be employed
- Review tips for effective conflict management
- Obtain 1 NCCP Professional Development Credit for the event
