The Softball Summit provides professional development and networking opportunities for coaches and softball leaders across Canada. The Summit will provide the most up to date training and instructional techniques presented by some of the world's leading international experts raising the level of knowledge among softball coaches and leaders across Canada.
The 2018 Softball Summit will take place from January 12-13, 2018 in Richmond, BC at the Marriott Vancouver Airport (7571 Westminster Hwy - Richmond, BC V6X 1A3) bringing coaches, administrators and other softball enthusiasts together in one place to Learn, Share and Connect. In addition, participants registering for the full event will also be registered for the BC Sport Leadership Conference on Sunday, January 14 being held at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport (7551 Westminster Highway, Richmond, BC, V6X 1A3). Softball Canada and Softball BC are pleased to be able to offer three (3) streams for the Softball Summit to ensure each participant receives professional development that is relevant to them.
- The Competitive Coach stream is for softball coaches working with teams who are participating in Provincial Championships leading to Regional (i.e. Western Canadian Championships) and/or Canadian Championships. The players on these teams are training regularly, involved in high level competition and are on the high performance pathway.
- The Community Coach stream is for softball coaches working with teams who may be participating in local tournaments and/or Provincial Championships. The players on these teams enjoy the challenge and the social aspect of the sport through lifelong participation in recreational softball.
- The Club stream is for club executive or board members who are leaders for their local softball association. This stream will help your club improve how you operate ensuring you can offer the best programming for your athletes.

- Jeff Ellsworth – Head Coach, Canada’s Junior Men’s National Team
- Heather Tarr – Head Coach, University of Washington and 2017 Team USA Assistant Coach

In total, there are up to 15 sessions over 3 days plus networking opportunities over lunch on Saturday and Sunday and a Mentoring/Social Event on Saturday night where you will get to interact with fellow attendees and the presenters!! - Saturday, January 13: 9:00 am – 10:00 pm with Coaches Social Event (includes Nutritional Breaks & Lunch, Dinner on your own)
- BC Sport Leadership Conference
- Sunday, January 14: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (Nutritional Break and lunch included)
