Introducing Fest Pro – CSTA’s NEW Economic Impact Model

CSTA - We’ve been asked many times by our members about a companion model for conducting economic impact assessments for festivals, exhibitions, concerts and other special events (similar to steαm pro2.0 ).  It’s now here!

CSTA is pleased to announce that the fest pro model (Framework for Economic Statistics and Trends) is now available.

Powered by the CSTA, in partnership with the Canadian Tourism Research Institute at The Conference Board of Canada,  the model contains the latest input/output tables and multipliers from Statistics Canada making it the most up-to-date and reliable EIA model for a variety of events occurring across Canada on a regular basis.

The model contains 100%  Canadian data and directly reflects what took place at your event in your community.

How does it work?

fest pro is a 3-step process used to accurately quantify the economic impact of your festival, exhibition, concert or other special event in a Canadian community.

#1 -  We collect real-time data through on-site intercept surveys and/or email surveys.

#2 – Our economic impact consultants review, clean and run the primary data collected from event attendees through the fest pro model, then tabulate the results.

#3 – Visitor spending is combined with capital and event operational expenditures to produce an overall determination of the expenditures associated with the event. When all of this data and information is combined, CSTA produces a detailed report that provides clients with an economic impact assessment that includes total output, GDP, jobs, employment and taxes.
