Racquetball Canada - Winnipeg (November 17, 2019) - Team Canada has finished competition at the 2019 International Racquetball Federation Junior World Championships. The championships were held November 8 to 16 in San Jose, Costa Rica. 

 

The Canadian team did not have any podium results at this year's championships. They had tough matches in the preliminary round which was used for seeding athletes in the elimination round. As a result most athletes faced higher seeds in their first elimination round matches and were unable to advance. 

 

The Junior World Championships got underway Friday, November 8 and concluded on Saturday, November 16. 

 

 

The next major event for several of the athletes competing at the World Junior Championships will be the Racquetball Canada National Team Selection Event being held in Edmonton, AB.

U16 Boys: Naman Gauri (Lethbridge, AB), 17th; Nathan Jauvin (Terrebonne, QC), 9th.

 

U14 Girls: Ofelia Wilscam (Repentigny, QC), 9th; Tamara Wilscam (Repentigny, QC), 9th.

 

U14 Boys: Asher Pocsai (New Hamburg, ON), 17th, Christian Pocsai (New Hamburg, ON), 17th.
