2015 National Conference: A Physical Literacy Uprising

HPEC and PHE Canada are now accepting presentation proposals for the 2015 National Conference. The conference will feature presentations by professionals from across the country on topics such as:

Active Living (e.g., cycling, yoga, weight training, recreation)

After-School/Intramurals (e.g., after-school programs, intramurals)

Dance (e.g., creative, contemporary, multicultural, social)

Health Education (e.g., mental health, nutrition, relationships, substance use and abuse)

Healthy School Communities (e.g. tools, resources, building capacity, being a champion for your school)

Outdoor Education/Alternative Environments (e.g., orienteering, rock climbing, canoe/kayak, ice and snow activities)

Physical Education/Physical Literacy (e.g., fundamental movement skills, gymnastics, motivation, tools)

Sport Specific Activities (e.g. volleyball, basketball, wrestling, interschool athletics)

Proposals must be submitted online and received by Monday, September 15, 2014.

Potential presenters will be informed about the status of their proposals by October 31, 2014.

Please note that:

All presenters (including co-presenters) are required to register as conference delegates.

Presenters who are selling products and/or resources must also apply for a conference Display/Exhibit Booth. No sales are allowed during the sessions. Interested buyers should find you on the exhibition floor or contact you outside of the workshop.

All presentation sessions are 60 minutes in length.

Unless otherwise notified, presenters are expected to bring their own audio-visual equipment.

Presenters are required to bring their physical activity equipment. If you require specialized facilities, please indicate so.

While we will consider special requests, we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled.
