This Leadership Symposium provides an opportunity for delegates to netowrk with colleagues and increase their knowledge and skills of what they can do for children, youth, communities or themselves. Our goal is get you motivated, encouraged and connected with a variety of opportunities with those that can help you make a difference in the sport and recreation sector. We will give YOU the tools that will empower YOU in your role. 

Delegates can be anyone ranging from individuals involved with health, physical activity, educators, public health, researchers, administrators, recreation leaders, physical educations specialist, coaches, volunteers, athletes and professional staff in sport and others who want more information regarding leadership and YOU!

Presented by the Sport North Federation, the 2017 Leadership Symposium is entitled Power of You.

Held in Yellowknife, NT, Explorer Hotel, the symposium will feature presentations and workshops on:

  • Communication (e.g. social media, technology, best practices)
  • Motivation 
  • Building Skills
  • Creating Connections (e.g. networking techniques, being a champion, partnering with other agencies)
  • Empowering
  • Learning (e.g. coaching modules, protocols - concussion information, return to play, etc.)
