The Canadian sport community is invited to join the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) for a webinar that  will provide tools, tips and guides to help sport organizations drive revenue, athlete development and athlete retention through events.  The webinar will run from 1:55 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. EST on Thursday May 21.  This webinar is part of a series of webinars coordinated through the COC’s Revenue Generation and Marketing Committee.

As part of the COC’s National Sport Federation Enhancement Initiative webinar series, we will be joined by Mr. Mark Eckert, Executive Director of Volleyball Canada.  Mark will discuss how Volleyball Canada has converted their National Championship event into the Canadian Open.  The Canadian Open involves over 700 teams from across Canada gathering in Calgary for the highest level domestic competition and for a celebration of the sport.  In addition to the competition for national championships, Volleyball Canada is also hosting World League and international friendly matches to allow the participants in the event to see Canada’s best as part of their championship experience.

In the course of the webinar we will explore Volleyball Canada’s journey to their event format and what they have learned along the way. We will hear more about how Volleyball Canada has increased event revenues, increased access to their major events, increased participant engagement and increased athlete, coach and official development all while creating a property that is highly sought-after by sponsors and destinations alike.

Any member of the Canadian sport community is welcome to join the webinar by registering at the link below:
