PrideHouseTO 2015 Inclusion Ambassadors Program

PrideHouseTO wants you to help make the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games the most inclusive multi-sport games in history!
PrideHouseTO is a province-wide initiative for LGBTQ communities in Ontario leading up to and during the Toronto 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games. An important part of PrideHouseTO’s work is reaching out to and engaging communities across Ontario in important conversations about sport inclusion.
The Ambassador Program is looking for individuals who:
- love watching, playing, or talking about sports and recreation
- are passionate about promoting and celebrating diversity
- see the importance of raising awareness within your own communities about LGBTQ inclusion
- want to build skills in training, leadership, and community development.
We are now accepting applications for a 4-day sport inclusion retreat in downtown Toronto from Thursday, May 7th to Sunday, May 10th, 2015.
Up to 20 participants will have the opportunity to develop leadership, facilitation, and community development skills and be equipped to be sport inclusion ambassadors in their home cities/regions.
In particular, we are seeking participants from outside of Toronto and in the following regions/municipalities:
- Guelph
- Hamilton
- Durham Region
- Sudbury
- Northern Ontario
- Ottawa and..
- any of the 16 municipalities across the Toronto 2015 Games footprint.
