Track Cycling World Cups
Cycling Canada had two successful world cups in Hong Kong and New Zealand, winning a total of 5 medals over two weekends. The team is now training in Brisbane, where they will be competing this weekend at the fifth Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Cup of the season. Click here to watch events and here for results.
- Kelsey Mitchell won her first world cup medal in Hong Kong, with a bronze medal in the Sprint
- The women's Team Pursuit squad won bronze in Cambridge, despite being the first time that all four athletes were riding together
- Kelsey Mitchell stepped on the podium for the second week in a row, finishing second in the Sprint
- Lauriane Genest made her first 1/4 finals in the Sprint and won her first world cup medal, with a silver in the Keirin, while Allison Beveridge finished with a bronze in the Omnium
