The four-day Summit, scheduled for Aug. 24-27, will feature a blend of workshops, panel discussions and keynote addresses from a cross-section of the Canadian sports industry, all with the purpose of building the sport of curling to even greater heights in our country. There also will be a trade show for curling vendors.

Some of the keynote speakers for the Summit include TSN President Stewart Johnston as well as Brent Barootes, the president and CEO of the Partnership Group, a national sponsorship-consulting firm.

As well, the Summit will be capped with the inaugural Swing and Sweep Golf Tournament at Thundering Waters Golf Club, a day that will include an evening dinner, silent and live auction — all to raise funds for junior curling and club development in Canada. Some of our Olympic curlers will be taking part, in addition to other celebrities. Look for announcements on notable participants in the next few weeks.
