Change Management
Webinar Date: Wednesday, June 5, 2013
These days, as a leader in a sport organization, you are not alone if you are feeling that the only constant is change. And change is good right? But with the relentless pace of change, how do you decide which changes your organization should focus on, and of these, how can you successfully manage the change process? The ability to manage and adapt to organizational change is an essential ability required in the workplace today.
During the webinar, Alain and Jennifer will draw on their knowledge of organizational change and the Canadian sport community to demystify change management for sport leaders, and provide insight on how best to manage change. Starting with an understanding of the different types and magnitude of change facing organizations, participants will be introduced to the ADKAR model for change management. Frequently, change management initiatives fail because they focus on the business or project management aspects and not the people aspects; both are critical elements of the ADKAR model.
A case study approach will be used to illustrate how sport leaders can successfully implement ADKAR change management within their organization, whether as part of their strategic plan or a standalone change process. Key enablers and challenges for successful change management will also be highlighted, with additional resources provided as part of the presentation.
