Veronica McNeil is principal consultant and owner of Voluntary Sector Consultants (1998), a company dedicated to supporting the missions of non-profit, co-operative and charitable organizations. A native of Nova Scotia, and a life-long volunteer, Veronica began working in the voluntary sector as a summer student and over the next 25 years, she filled diverse roles, such as board member, Executive Director, educator, researcher and consultant. Her area of expertise is Board Governance and Organizational Design. From 1996-2006, Veronica taught Board Governance & Accountability in Dalhousie University's Non-Profit Sector Leadership Program. Veronica is very well connected to the voluntary sector in Nova Scotia and on a national basis. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the HR Council for the Voluntary Sector.
Veronica is a graduate of Saint Mary's University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and holds Certificates in Counseling, Adult Education and Advanced Facilitation Techniques. She is currently enrolled at St. Francis Xavier University in the Diploma in Adult Education program.
